Traveling Tea Party Policies


Reservations can be made by phone or email. When sending an email, please be sure to include your contact information and location. A deposit is required in order to secure a reservation. Your deposit amount will depend upon the guest count of your party and the package chosen.

Reservations will be held for one week: in that time you will be required to pay the deposit and sign a party contract. Please try to book the Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties at least a month in advance. The deposit is refundable up to two weeks before the date of your tea party, minus a $25 dollar cancellation fee. Refunds will not be given after that time. The full balance will be required on the day of the party before set-up begins, payable by check or cash only. The deposit is applied to your final balance.

The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties base of operations is in Cary, NC. Serving Raleigh and the Triangle area, we will provide traveling tea parties in Cary, Apex, Raleigh, Holly Springs, Durham, Morrisville, Chapel Hill and other surrounding areas. An additional charge for traveling further distances may apply.

Cancellations/Inclement Weather/Illness:
In the event of severe weather or unforeseen circumstances such as illness, The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties reserves the right to reschedule your party. If you are unable to reschedule for any reason, you will be refunded your deposit.

Please remember that your deposit is only refundable up to 2 weeks prior to your party date. If you need to cancel your party for any reason after the two weeks’ notice date your deposit will be non refundable. Rescheduling is allowed only once, if you need to cancel/reschedule a second time, the deposit for the original party will be non-refundable and a new deposit and new contract will be required.


Final payments can be made by cash or check only. As a convenience, we will accept deposits via credit card.

A $30 dollar bank fee will be charged for any check that is returned with NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS.

Party Size:
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties caters to a minimum of 20, which includes the guest of honor or host. A gratuity of 18% will be automatically added for parties of 20 or more.

At least 7 day's notice prior to your event date is required to adjust the balance of your final payment if someone in your group will be unable to attend or if you need to add to your party count. In either case (more or less people) 7 day's notice is required and a revision of the contract will need to be made and signed. Some guests may not show up to the party, even if they RSVP. Please remember that we charge according to the final guest count that you provided prior to the party.

Table and chairs
We do not provide tables or seating. It is your responsibility to ensure that there is enough seating for you and your guests. At the end of your allotted party time, we will begin to clean up.  We will be discreet during this time should your party continue past the allotted time.

We can provide linens for your party or you may use your own. An additional charge may apply for linens.

On the Day of your Tea Party:
On the day of your event we will arrive approximately 1 ½ -2 hours prior to your party time and begin the preparation and set-up. Our pricing and timing includes setup and cleanup of our items only.

A charge of $50 per hour will be added for each additional hour of party time you require beyond the standard two hours, not counting setup and cleanup time.

We understand that accidents can happen, however, the client may be held responsible for excessive damage sustained to The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties property by yourself or party guests.

There is a breakage fee of $25.00 per teacup or saucer, $15 per plate, and $30.00 per teapot.

Food Allergies:
The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties provides a pre-set menu. It is the responsibility of the client to check with party guests for specific food allergies. Should any of your guests have severe food allergies, we suggest that you provide an alternate menu for that guest. While many menu selections do not contain nuts, the ingredients they are comprised of may have been manufactured or processed in a facility that also processes nuts. At this time we also do not provide gluten-free options.

The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties, its owners and employees assume no responsibility or liability for accidents, allergies relating to food items, injuries to party guests, or property damage. As professional event planners, we can assure you that a safe and entertaining environment will be provided for your guests and will be respectable of your home and property.

The Lucky Teapot Traveling Tea Parties has provided this account of our policies and terms of service with the assumption that you have read and agree to our policies before signing the Party Agreement.
